Individual Therapy
One-on-one therapy, virtual only — meet from anywhere in Texas with no commute and no waiting room. Sessions are available Monday through Friday, 9 AM–3 PM.
What working together looks like
We'll start with an intake and some assessments so I can understand what's going on, then build a collaborative treatment plan together. Most clients begin with weekly sessions and taper as things improve. ACT and ERP are active approaches — you'll practice skills both during our sessions and between them. This work tends to fit best with people who are willing to try one small step at a time. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+, young adults, or parents.
Approaches I use
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
The gold-standard treatment for OCD. You'll gradually face your distressing thoughts, images, urges, and situations while resisting compulsions. This process will help you learn, in your body and not just your mind, that obsessional fears are less likely to happen than OCD would have you believe and that being with distressing internal experiences is both safe and more effective than the constant compulsion loops you feel drawn towards.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you unhook from intrusive thoughts and painful feelings, not by winning an argument with your mind, but by changing your relationship to it, and building a life organized around your values instead of avoidance.
Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and ComB
For BFRBs like hair pulling and skin picking: awareness training plus blockers and competing responses that give your hands something else to do when the urge shows up.
Fees & insurance
I accept most major insurance plans for individual therapy, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, Meritain, UMR, Surest, plus EAP programs. Coverage varies by plan. I'm happy to help you check your benefits during your free consultation.
Paying privately? My cash pay rate is $145 per session. Limited sliding scale spaces are available based on financial need, and I provide superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Wondering whether to use insurance at all?
